In collaboration with singer Rita Ora, Rimmel London launched #LondonLookUK - an international competition seeking out the next big name in beauty. Tens of thousands of ‘London Looks’ were uploaded by bloggers across the globe, with 18 finalists flown to London for a 3 day event including makeup tutorials, product trials, inspiration tours and a meet and greet with Rimmel brand ambassador Rita Ora.
Create a hub of blogger-generated content that could be used throughout the upcoming year for Rimmel’s local markets across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels.
What we did
- Ensured high-quality, diverse UGC content
Before touching down in London, each blogger was researched so we could generate their personalised lookbook. These lookbooks gave the competition winners ideas for a unique look inspired by current makeup and fashion trends ranging from ‘Colour Pop’ to ‘Gym Skin’, ‘Festival Ready’ to ‘Galactic Gaze’.
- Inspired influencers
Daily visual mood boards were created for the event’s ‘Inspiration Days’ - where bloggers sought inspiration from different parts of London - from Shoreditch to Camden, Soho to Mayfair - to create a final look for their meet and greet with Rita Ora.

24/7 monitoring and collating of all #LondonLookUK posts for 54+ social media accounts.
- Increased event awareness and content reach on a global scale
Managed and organised an online content management system to enable all local markets to easily access live and post-event content generated across the 3-day event. Daily content roundups and new assets including GIFs and short social films were created to encourage increased event promotion.
